We used Bob Books and picked out spelling words from the books we have read.  The girls wrote the words on the lined Handwriting without Tears chalkboards and we created the words with the moveable alphabet also.  Additionally, we used an app which mimics the moveable alphabet but adds the phonics sounds so that you can hear the word you are spelling when placing the letters together on the screen.
